Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan recently expressed his pride and joy over India becoming the world’s fourth-largest economy. Taking to social media platform X (formerly Twitter), he wrote:
“Jai Hind! India is now the 4th largest economy in the world. USA, China, Germany, India... and in another 2.5 to 3 years, we will reach the 3rd spot!”
This statement came as India surpassed Japan, reaching approximately $4 trillion in GDP. As of now, the top global economies are:
United States – $30.51 trillion
China – $19.23 trillion
Germany – $4.74 trillion
India – $4 trillion+
The achievement is seen as a significant milestone in India’s economic journey, especially as it comes more than 75 years after the country gained independence. Mr. Bachchan described it as a “remarkable achievement” and a proud moment for every Indian.
In another heartfelt post, he also paid tribute to Indian soldiers, writing:
“Agniveer Zindabad! Bharat Mata Ki Jai!! Jai Hind!”
His words reflect the pride and emotion felt by millions across the country. India's economic rise is not just a matter of numbers, but a symbol of national resilience, innovation, and collective effort. Citizens and public figures alike have come together to celebrate this milestone, marking it as a new chapter in India's global journey.
