Keerthy Suresh, the Malayalam beauty who began her journey as a child artist, has now become one of the leading actresses in South Indian cinema. After captivating audiences with her performances in Telugu and Tamil films, she recently made her Bollywood debut with Baby John. Last year, she tied the knot with her childhood friend Antony Joseph and is now enjoying her married life to the fullest.
Despite her packed shooting schedule, Keerthy often finds time for vacations with her husband. The couple is currently holidaying in the Maldives, where they're enjoying beach strolls, delicious local cuisine, and relaxing boat rides. Keerthy shared glimpses of their trip on Instagram with the caption “Physically, mentally in Maldives,” and fans are loving her simple yet stylish look and radiant smile. Many are wishing to see her back in powerful and challenging roles soon.
Keerthy comes from a film background — her mother, Menaka, was a popular actress who starred alongside Chiranjeevi in Punnami Naagu, while her father, Suresh Kumar, produced several films. Growing up around cinema, her passion for acting started early. She made her screen debut as a child artist at the age of seven in the 2000 film Pilots. In 2013, she entered the industry as a lead actress with the Malayalam movie Geethanjali. Her Telugu debut came in 2016 with Nenu Sailaja, which was a commercial success. This paved the way for back-to-back hits like Nenu Local, Agnyaathavaasi, Mahanati, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, and Dasara. Her portrayal of legendary actress Savitri in Mahanati earned her the National Award for Best Actress.
In Tamil cinema, Keerthy has made her mark with films such as Theri, Thaanaa Serndha Koottam, Sarkar, Penguin, Annaatthe, and Saani Kaayidham. Currently, she's busy with Tamil projects like Revolver Rita and Kannivedi. Reports also suggest she’s being considered for a major Hindi film, and in Telugu, she is rumored to star opposite Vijay Deverakonda in Rowdy Janardhan.
Interestingly, while Keerthy mostly chose traditional roles before marriage, her recent glamorous appearances have sparked some discussion. While some critics argue it's a strategic move for more opportunities, Keerthy seems unfazed, focusing on her work and continuing to sign exciting new projects.
