In a devastating incident that has shaken the nation, an Air India Boeing Dreamliner carrying 242 people crashed just moments after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad on Thursday afternoon. The ill-fated aircraft was bound for London and took off around 1:39 PM, only to meet a catastrophic end seconds later.

The video shows the aircraft accelerating on the runway, lifting off within 20 seconds, and then soaring briefly for about 30 seconds before it suddenly plummeted from the sky. The crash resulted in a massive explosion, followed by thick black smoke engulfing the area, creating a terrifying scene.

Eyewitnesses describe hearing a deafening blast and witnessing flames erupting from the wreckage. Emergency response teams rushed to the site, but the scale of the devastation was immense. The aircraft was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members. According to an official update shared by Air India on its ‘X’ platform, among the passengers were 169 Indian nationals, 53 British citizens, 7 from Portugal, and 1 Canadian.

One of the prominent passengers on board was former Gujarat Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Vijay Rupani. Gujarat BJP State President and Union Minister C.R. Patil confirmed his unfortunate demise, stating that Rupani was en route to London to visit his daughter.

Initial reports suggested that there were no survivors, sending shockwaves across the country and among the international community. However, within hours, Ahmedabad Police confirmed that at least one individual had miraculously survived.
